After many years searching I finally found my someone. I met a number of men off this site, made some good friends but something just didn't 'click'. There was a man who asked me for a coffee, I was seeing one of the guys I'd met and told him this. Dated a few times and I was determining if it was something to pursue, nice guy, but not for me. I had another message asking me out for coffee. There was something about this guy, he intrigued me. Months later we are both in love and planning our future together. Don't be discouraged, stick to what you really want in a partner, this man ticks all of my boxes. We are both mid 60's and have a few battle scars but also lived experiences we have healed from. Each 'no' is closer to a 'yes' just like applying for a job. Thank you Findsomeone. Search through the wannabees, the scammers, the one-nighters, the dreamers and the married ones, stick to your principles and never change to fit someone elses ideals. Be yourself, it is the most appealing thing of all. Saddened that Findsomeone is closing and blessed I found my man, it could so easily have been different if I hadn't said yes to a coffee.

Did it take you long to find your partner?
I'd been single for 13 years following being cheated on. Trust was huge and it took time to heal. However, no risk, no reward. Yes, I kissed a couple of frogs, but there was no connection. The first time I kissed this man sparks flew. A cliche for sure, but when you know, you just know. We are both surprised at how quickly it turned into love for one another, he's my 'forever' and we will be making the most of the years to come.
